What is an ADU?
ADU stands for Accessory Dwelling Units. Also known as in-law units, backyard cottages, guest houses etc., They are self-contained living spaces with their own kitchen, bathroom, and entrance, and can be attached to the main house, built as a separate structure in the backyard, or converted from existing space such as a garage or basement.
ADUs provide homeowners with additional living space and can serve as rental units, housing for family members, or home offices, among other uses.
